Solitarus Torc
Solitarus. A single diamond, held at the axis of the body. A continuation in our system of torcs, minimal, ritual, worn to activate.
Solitarus (solitaire) comes from the Latin word for solitary, alone, lonely, isolated. It is also used in a neuroanatomical context referring to the sensory nucleus in the brainstem that receives visceral sensory information.
The Solitarus torc embodies both physical sensation and symbolic meaning, representing singularity and connection. It highlights the singular diamond – the one – positioned at the neck, the body’s central axis.
